Kyoto.
Wow. What an incredibly beautiful city, especially with the cherry trees in bloom. Once we reached our ryokan, I didn’t want to leave. It is incredibly beautiful and serene. The garden is a marvel–everything is perfect. I am loving Japan! We’ve had kaiseki feasts that are a feast not only for the stomach, but for the eyes. They put lanterns in the cherry trees at night, and it is very surreal walking or sitting under them. Tomorrow we go to Nara, and then to Himeji castle on the following day.
I love soaking in the tubs. People are so respectful of nudity. Its like they don’t see it. I’ve got the ritual down for bathing. Take a shower to rinse off, then hop into the hot (!) water. Soak for a few minutes. Get back out of the tub, sit on the little stool, and soap up. Shower back off, making sure to rinse off all soap residue, then back into the tub for as long as you can stand. Wrap up in a yukata, retire to your room, and wait for them to bring your kaiseki feast.
Everyone is so very deferential. The entire country is a bunch of submissives acting like submissives. Its a curious sensation, being a Domme in Japan. I’ve a feeling I could make a lot of money here
I’ll post again in a few days!
